Debut as Leonora in Verdi’s ‘Il trovatore’ at Teatro Regio

Rachel Willis-Sørensen embarks on her 2018/19 season with her highly anticipated debut as Leonora in Verdi’s Il trovatore at the Teatro Regio Torino. Marking Ms. Willis-Sørensen’s second Verdi role added to her glowing list of repertoire, she also makes her house debut with the Teatro Regio.

In performances led by Pinchas Steinburg, Rachel shares the stage with an esteemed cast, including Diego Torre as Manrico, Anna Maria Chiuri as Azucena, Massimo Cavalletti as Conte di Luna, In-Sung Sim as Ferrando, Ashley Milanese as Ines, and Patrizio Saudelli as Ruiz. This masterful production by Paul Curran is on stage October 10 through 21.

The live broadcast of Il trovatore, curated by Susanna Franchi, will be broadcast on Wednesday, October 10 at 8 pm by Rai Radio 3.
