House Debut at Gran Teatre del Liceu

It has just been announced that Ms. Willis-Sørensen will be making her house debut next month as Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore. Conducted by Gustav Dudamel, who is conducting the piece for the first time, the concert version of the opera will be performed on October 1st and 4th. Willis-Sørensen sings opposite Yusif Eyvazov as Manrico, Ludovic Tézier as Di Luna and Okka von der Damerau as Azucena, and she replaces Anna Netrebko who is ill. This is the second time Ms. Willis-Sørensen performs the role, having made her debut in the piece at Teatro Regio di Torino in 2018.
