La Bohème at the Bayerische Staatsoper

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the German government has not allowed theaters to open for audiences, but Bayerische Staatsoper will be streaming its production of La Bohème, starring Ms. Willis-Sørensen as Mimì, on Monday, on November 30 at 20:15 on Staatsoper.tv, free of charge. She is joined by Jonas Kaufmann as Rodolfo, Mirjam Mesak as Musetta, Andrei Zhilikhovsky as Marcello, Sean Michael Plumb as Schaunard, and Tareq Nazmi as Colline. The beautiful Otto Schenk production was premiered in 1969, and retains its traditional beauty. Asher Fisch leads from the pit.
