Mahler 8 at the Bayerische Staatsoper

Following a very triumphant production of Don Carlos at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Ms. Willis-Sørensen continues her eventful schedule with a return to the Bayerische Staatsoper to perform Mahler’s Symphony No.8 under the baton of Maestro Kirill Petrenko. She shares the stage with Johanni van Oostrum (soprano), Jennifer Johnston (alto), Okka von der Damerau (alto) Benjamin Bruns (tenor), Christoph Pohl (baritone) and Georg Zeppenfeld (bass). The singers are accompanied by the Bayerisches Staatsorchester and Chorus of the Bayerische Staatsoper. This marks Ms. Willis-Sørensen’s first time performing the first soprano role.
