Debut at the Teatro di San Carlo

After her successful debut at the Philharmonie de Paris, Ms. Willis-Sørensen makes her next debut of the season at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, performing another Verdi role this season, as she takes on Elisabetta in Verdi’s Don Carlo. Her performance at the Grand Théâtre de Genève last season was praised by Online Merker which claimed she had “great control and majestic phrasing… a beautiful soprano, confident in the high register and able to sing the poignant legati with floating ease. A wonderful voice!” This time, she sings under the baton of Henrik Nánási alongside John Relyea as Filippo II, Piero Pretti as Don Carlo, Gabriele Viviani as Rodrigo and Alexander Tsymbalyuk as the great inquisitor in this Claus Guth production.

Performances are set for January 19th, 22nd, 25th, 28th, and 31st. Tickets and more information can be found here.
