Summer Season

This summer, Rachel Willis-Sørensen continues her 2024/25 season with a series of major concert and festival appearances across Europe and the United States. 

Her favorite composer, Verdi, features heavily, as she performs the Verdi Requiem with three different institutions: Copenhagen Philharmonic on June 5, San Francisco Symphony on June 20th and 22nd, and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic on July 12th. 

On the concert stage, she performs in gala concerts with distinguished colleagues such as Jonas Kaufmann and Ludovic Tézier. She makes her debut in Georgia in a joint gala concert on June 10th at the Tbilisi National Theatre, and performs in concert with Jonas Kaufmann Regensburg Schlossfestspiele on July 20th. On June 13th and 14th, she makes her debut singing the Wesendonck Lieder with the München Philharmoniker, conducted by Andris Nelsons.

She performs Elsa in Lohengrin as part of the Bayerische Staatsoper’s summer festival on July 27th and 30th. 

She ends her summer with a European tour with the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, starting on August 18th. Performing Strauss’ Four Last Songs and the Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde, the tour includes performances at the Lucerne Festival, Enescu Festival, the Concertgebouw and more.
