Mimi at the Semperoper Dresden

Rachel triumphantly returns to the role of Mimi in Puccini’s La bohème at the Semperoper Dresden this November. Ms. Willis-Sørensen most recently performed the role at the Bayerische Staatsoper opposite Jonas Kaufmann as Rodolfo last season. Critical acclaim from the performances include Operawire, that enthused,  “her lustrous voice soared throughout the evening,” and Resmusica, that praised her “beautifully nuanced line.”

This November, she is joined by Atalla Ayan as Rodolfo, Nikola Hillebrand as Musetta, Bogdan Baciu as Marcello, Ilya Silchuk as Schaunard, and Martin-Jan Nijhof as Colline. Ms. Willis-Sørensen made her debut as Mimi in this same production by Christine Mielitz. John Fiore conducts.
