December Concerts
After a successful return to the Metropolitan Opera for a run of performances of Verdi’s Il Trovatore, Ms. Willis-Sørensen makes a shift to the concert stages of Europe for the month of December. Her first engagement takes place on December 1st in Valletta, Malta, where she makes her debut at the Fusion Festival. Entitled “A Night with the Stars”, she performs a selection of modern and traditional operatic repertoire alongside Maltese mezzo-soprano, Marvic Monreal, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. Maestro Miquel Ortega conducts a 24-piece electric orchestra.
On December 8th, she returns to Paris to debut at the Philharmonie to perform the role of Violetta in a concert version of Verdi’s La Traviata. This cherished role marked her debut in Bordeaux in 2020 and is also featured in her debut album, Rachel, released in 2022. Alongside her are Ivan Magrì as Alfredo Germont, Ariunbaatar Ganbaatar as Giorgio Germont, Valentina Stadler as Flora Bervoix, and Olivia Boen as Annina. Jérémie Rhorer conducts Le Cercle de l’Harmonie.
