La Traviata at the Bayerische Staatsoper

This Spring, Ms. Willis-Sørensen returns to the role of Violetta Valéry in Verdi’s La Traviata in a production by Günter Krämer at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. Her debut performance of the role at the Opéra national de Bordeaux in 2020 was praised by Olyrix who claimed: “The role of Rachel Willis-Sorensen is extremely seductive, as evidenced by the ovation that the public gives her at the end: the voice is opulent, generous and the vocal line is of great expressiveness.” On this occasion, Maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducts the Bayerisches Staatsorchester in this beloved score as Ms. Willis-Sørensen shares the stage with Joseph Calleja as Alfredo, Victoria Karkacheva as Flora, Emily Sierra as Annina, Andrés Agudelo as Gaston and Artur Rucinski as Giorgio Germont.
