Strauss’ Last Four Songs

After making her role debut in Strauss’ Arabella this season at the Met, Rachel Willis-Sørensen performs Strauss again, as she  joins the Basque National Orchestra on a January 2026 tour conducted by Jaime Martín, singing Richard Strauss’s Four Last Songs. Rachel has performed this cycle around the world, over 40 times, and recorded the work for her Strauss album, that you can listen to here. The program also includes Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga’s Overture to Los esclavos felices and Johannes Brahms’s Symphony No. 4.
