Lohengrin at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, and Il Trovatore at the Bayerische Staatsoper

This month, Rachel performs Wagner and Verdi. As part of the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden Osterfestspiele, she stars as Elsa of Brabant in a new Johannes Erath production of Richard Wagner’s Lohengrin, opening on March 28th. Piotr Beczała performs the title role, with Tanja Ariane Baumgartner as Ortrud, Wolfgang Koch as Telramund, and Kwangchul Youn as King Henry. The performances are conducted by Joana Mallwitz.

Later in April, Willis-Sørensen returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich in her acclaimed role as Leonora in Verdi’s Il trovatore on April 26th and 30th, a staple of her repertoire.
